Update Archives – 1/7/02-5/29/02

Presenting a complete list of all site updates for the dates of 01/07/02 to 05/29/02. Please click here to return to news and update archives home page. There weren’t many site updates from the months of January 2002 to September 2002 because I was focusing my attention on the Kongming’s Archives project. Rot3K Graphics and Web was revitalized in early September 2002.

1/7/02: Our host has changed their name to caffinated.net, so the site was updated to reflect these changes.

1/13/02: Minor layout-related CSS updates.

1/19/02: Minor updates to the Browser Downloads section.

1/26/02: I have been playing around with some CSS layouts and I have finally settled on one that I really like. It is not a complex as this current one, and not as eye-catching, but it will load 3 times faster and improve accessibility for alternate browsers. The first version of this new layout will go online soon.

1/30/01: Added a number of helpful Internet resources to the ‘Links’ page.

2/15/02: Removed bottom menu to increase load speeds, adjusted fonts used in site to improve readability, removed ‘Downloads’ section from menus to to make the site easier to navigate. The downloads section can now be accessed using the “Sections” sub-menu in the home section. These changes have been documented in the ‘Information’ section. Added several links to the links section (three under ‘Find People (411)’ and another under ‘Grammar, Writing, and Fonts’). Removed 555-1212.com, I have no use for a site that charges users for something that can be done for free elsewhere. I have also made some minor layout adjustments (like moving the last updated date to the right menu under the apple) and more are planned for the future.

2/23/02: Completed the ‘Free Navigation Bar Graphics’ section. For now it only contains the navigation bar style used on our Destiny of an Emperor site when it was first introduced back in ’99, but it is a start. Keep an eye on that section for more original content. Contribute your own work for distribution on this site and in this section (e-mail for information).

4/1/02: Added Kongming’s Archives (the Three Kingdoms project mentioned in the news) to the pages section. The site is going along very well and is currently our favorite passtime. Planned events include 1) getting Kongming’s Archives to the point where I want it and then going into normal steady updates, 2) finishing DoaE (now a part of Kongming’s Archives), and 3) returning to this page, adding some new walkthroughs, and perhaps even converting the layout to CSS (I have been tossing this idea around for over a year).

5/16/02: Added Aenigma Fonts to the links page, fixed some links, still working on other projects, but will come back to Rot3K later with some major updates.

5/29/02: There have been some changes, mostly just cleanup. I have also gotten rid of the old index page, replacing it with this one. You can also get yourname@rot3k.com e-mail for a small fee.
